Welcome!  Our Association provides a variety of services to 16 locally owned, locally controlled electric cooperatives in Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.

The cooperative philosophy of working together to solve problems is the basis for the creation of the Association in 1944.  Our 16 member cooperatives created the Association in 1944 to provide them with services in four main areas: 

Ø      Communications, including publishing Cooperative Living magazine 10 times a year for over 350,000 consumers across Virginia.  Visit us at www.Co-opliving.com; 

Ø      Governmental Affairs, including lobbying at the state and federal levels; 

Ø      Management Training, including training classes for cooperative employees and board members; and 

Ø      Safety Training for line crew workers at member cooperatives.
