2020 Workshops 


July 21 – 22: Customer Service (Virtual)
21st 1:00 – 4:00, 22nd 9:00 – noon
Description: This workshop is designed to help you improve your customer service (both internally and externally).  We will explore our customer service readiness and attitudes by using activities and group interactions focused on the concept of continuous improvement; leading to fewer customer complaints and better resolution to customer problems.
Deadline to Register: July 17, 2020 Co-ops will be billed following the workshop, based on numbers in-hand on July 17th

August 5 – 6: Project Management (Virtual)
5th 1:00 – 4:00, 6th 9:00 – noon
Description: In this workshop, we will explore how projects can be completed with great success and effectiveness by using the power of good communications, presentations and a disciplined approach to problem-solving.  We will try methods that can clarify unspoken or misidentified expectation, identify team needs and membership, and develop clear project definitions and boundaries. We will also look at the deliverables with an eye to cost and schedule.

September 10: Team & Staff Development
Description: This workshop will examine barriers to effective team participation and results. We will look at the various roles team members play within the team and how these behaviors enhance or detract from overall effectiveness.  We will explore team building methods, learn to use the S.M.A.R.T. goals process and understand the effects of rewards and recognition.

October 8:  Dealing with Difficult People
Description: This workshop helps distinguish between the individual (the person) and their behaviors. With an understanding of behavior, we will explore methods that help determine root causes for behavior that needs to be modified. Learn the value of addressing and resolving issues in a timely fashion that is measurable and effective.  Address issues that require the use of policy and disciplinary processes.

November 12: Effective Presentations
Description: Communications through presentations and formal discussions is a continuation of effective communications skills. We will develop presentations in the workshop that the participants will evaluate for effectiveness and understandability. The tools we will learn include facilitation, visual cues and data, as well as, simple structure tools to both enhance and facilitate good presentation styles.
