Our Association provides a variety of services to 16 locally owned, locally controlled electric cooperatives in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.

The cooperative philosophy of working together to solve problems is the basis for the creation of the Association. Our 16 member cooperatives created the Association in 1944 to provide the cooperatives with services in four main areas:

• Communications, including publishing Cooperative Living magazine 10 times a year for over 580,000 members across Virginia and Maryland. Visit us at co-opliving.com;
• Governmental Affairs, including lobbying at the state and federal levels;
• Management Training, including training classes for cooperative employees and board members; and
• Safety Training for line crew workers at member cooperatives.
