Brian Mosier serves as the CEO of VMDAEC. Mosier has been with the VMDAEC since 2013, originally serving as vice president of government affairs, and later was promoted to vice president of member and government relations. In 2019, he was promoted to chief operating officer. His 25-year career with electric cooperatives began in 1995 with Union Power Cooperative and continued with Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative as vice president of business development. A native of Wilmington, Del., Mosier is a 1989 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he graduated with a business degree and economics minor and played varsity soccer.

Gregg MacDonald joined the Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives in 2020 as a Senior Writer-Editor for Cooperative Living magazine.
Gregg MacDonald grew up in Ohio and Georgia. He has worked for the Savannah Morning News, as a founding member and Managing Editor of the Volunteer Times in East Tennessee; a writer for the Washington Post and as Executive Editor of the Fairfax County Times. He is an animal rights advocate and lives in Glen Allen, Va. with his wife Andrea, and his dog Logan.

Sam Brumberg serves as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel. His practice on behalf of rural communities spans over a decade and a half across the fields of energy, environmental protection, broadband and utilities. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Richmond. He received his law degree from William and Mary, where he was the managing editor of the Environmental Law and Policy Review. In 2020, he was nominated and qualified as a candidate for a judgeship on the Virginia State Corporation Commission.

Alan began his cooperative career with Central Virginia Electric Cooperative in 1991 as an apprentice lineman and worked his way through the ranks from apprentice to journeyman lineman. He accepted the position of Division Superintendent in 2002 and was promoted to Manager of Operations in 2010. He began his career with VMDAEC in September 2016 as Vice President of Safety and Training Services. Alan completed the NRECA-Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program in 2010.
