In September, Delaware Electric Cooperative announced several staff promotions within its Engineering, Finance, and Member Services departments. DEC strives to provide exceptional service to our members, and we are excited to promote the following employees who have shown dedication to our membership.
Engineering:
Troy Dickerson was promoted to Vice President of Engineering. Troy has been with DEC since 2011, performing various duties in the Engineering Department. Troy will assume this leadership role for the Engineering Department overseeing Engineering, Staking, Substation and System Protection, Metering and Property Management.
Dave Shapley was promoted to Vice President of Innovation & Strategic Initiatives. Dave has been with DEC since 1993 performing various duties in the Operations and Engineering Departments.
Tony Rutherford was promoted to Manager of Engineering, Substations and System Protection. Tony has been with DEC since 2014. Tony will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Substations Department, directing and assisting the Substation group.
Ryan Shockley was promoted to Manager of Engineering. He will assume the duties of Tony Rutherford and oversee the Staking Department.
Finance:
Ivanessa Cay was promoted to Remittance Manager and will assume the supervisory role of the Cashier Department. Along with her current duties, she will transition into this supervisory role overseeing payment processing and remittance along with other billing functions of the Cooperative.
Bruce Campbell was promoted to Manager of Risk & Internal Controls. Bruce will focus on the risks facing DEC and the methods and measures adopted within a business to safeguard its assets.
Member Services:
Jeremy Tucker was promoted to Manager of Strategic Communications and Engagement. He will oversee internal and external communications and engagement initiatives and will assume a new managerial role within the Member Services Department.
Kevin Yingling was promoted to Manager of Member Services and will assume a new supervisory role for the Collections Department. Kevin has been with the Cooperative for 13 years.
