Rappahannock Electric Cooperative has named Joanie Griffiths as director of member services and community relations.
Griffiths’ primary responsibility is to manage the efficient operations of member services in REC’s Bowling Green, Va., office, which serves portions of eight counties within REC’s 22-county service territory: Caroline, Essex, Goochland, Hanover, King and Queen, King William, Louisa and Spotsylvania.
Additionally, Griffiths serves as a liaison between REC and the boards of supervisors in these counties and actively participates in Chamber of Commerce activities.

Prior to joining REC, she served for 10 years in a variety of roles in public education including teacher, special education resource teacher and technology coordinator.
“Griffiths is a dedicated employee, both to her colleagues and the Cooperative’s member-owners,” said Kris Sieber, managing director – member services. “Her leadership will continue to support REC’s involvement in the community.”
