More than 20 safety and operations professionals representing seven member cooperatives participated in the Accident Investigation Seminar on April 9 led by Matt Edmunds with SET Solutions.
The following day featured the Safety Professionals Seminar, which attracted 14 representatives from nine member co-ops. A variety of presenters focused on several topics related to job safety, including active shooter, tick and Lyme disease prevention, and bionomic injury prevention. Tyler Hoelzen with VMDAEC Associate Member Working Athlete discussed heat illness prevention and hydration.
Work Zone Training
A week later, Billy Greene with Straightpath Consulting led a group of 11 professionals from Northern Neck Electric Cooperative, Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative and VMDAEC through a VDOT intermediate work zone training.
